My husband John & I met at the Burlington High School when we were only 16 years old. We were set up on a blind date to go to homecoming in Oct. of "1969" We got married by the justice of the peace July 26, "1971" Tammy Coppes Knak set us up and we've been together ever since. We celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary July 26, "2011" Our son Jay suggested that we have the dream wedding we'd always wanted. So, we decided it was definitely time to do that before something should happen to one of us. July 23, "2011" we had our dream wedding and reception in Burlington and invited some of our classmates, family & friends. We went on a cruise to Alaska which was absolutely Amazing! I asked my brother Bob Phillips to be my dad for the day and he said he'd do it. He said it'd feel like walking one of his daughters down the aisle! :-) Outside of walking down that aisle to meet my wonderful husband and having all 3 of our grown children in our beautiful wedding, having my handsome brother Bob walk me down the aisle meant the world to me. He was the only person that I would have wanted for my special day. He looked absolutely GORGEOUS in his Tux!!!! Bob also danced with me to "BUTTERFLY KISSES" at our reception that we held at the Burlington Memorial Auditorium in Burlington Iowa. I have an Awesome wedding video that shows Bob walking me down the aisle and also when he danced with me. Also, shows him and Julie sitting beside one another in the stretch limo. I love this picture of me standing between both of my brothers. Brother Bob Loter looked darned good in his Tux too! :-) Having my brothers and sisters in our wedding was so special. Also, having my niece and nephews in the wedding was so neat! Not to mention that we had some of our classmates in our wedding party as well. Plus, Tyler & Madison Reifesteck being in our wedding meant a great deal to me and my whole family. I took care of them when they were babies. We love them and their mom Deb alot. Our dream wedding was everything and more then we ever expected. It was truly beautiful in every way!!! :-) I LOVE YOU JOHN HILLGARTNER!!!!! XOXO
