Bob & I both dearly loved our Grandma Phillips who was our dad's mother. Grandma loved me and my brother Bob as she did her own children. She never once mistreated us and did what she could to help us and after we got married she continued to help us as best she could. She was there for me and Bob when we had nobody that cared about us. She was an Awesome Grandmother! She passed away at the age of 94 and was my buddy. She and I got extra close when she was put in Montebello nursing home. We had so much fun together giving gifts to the residents and just being together enjoying each other's company. Bob was the son she lost. She thought the world of both of us, and was so good to our mother Louise Phillips when she was sick with cancer. Our family all lived with her and Grandpa when our mom passed away. Mom was only 26 1/2 years old and our dad was 30 when they were taken from me and my brother Bob. Growing up without them was harder then anything we ever went through in our lives. Our Grandma Phillips gave us a home and fed us and was always good to us. She was good to everybody, and helped the whole family out when they needed money or a place to stay. Like our uncle Jake said to me one day...she didn't have a mean bone in her body!!! No, she didn't. She was a good woman who deserved awhole lot better then what she got dealt to her. Hardest working woman there ever was. I told her that God was busy preparing a beautiful place just for her!!! XOXO Bob & I always loved you granny, and now you've got your Bob back with you. I miss you ALL so darned much!!!! XOXO
